Helicentre Aviation Ltd was founded in 2001 by Chris and Katie Line. It was first based at Coventry Airport in the West Midlands. The company later moved its headquarters to Leicester Airport.

The operation continued to grow. The directors aimed to create a one-stop training academy and commercial air operation. The results far exceeded their expectations. Helicentre Aviation Ltd has trained hundreds of professional pilots and created many jobs for pilots and operations staff.

Today, Helicentre Aviation Ltd owns and operates a large fleet of modern Cabri G2 and Robinson R44 helicopters. It has also opened an EASA- and FAA-approved base in Florida, US. The company operates the largest onshore gas pipeline contract in the UK.
